Walker Zanger Unveils “Navona” – A New Porcelain Collection that Captures the Authenticity of Travertine Stone

Los Angeles, CA. (March 20, 2025) – Walker Zanger, North America’s leader in luxury tile and stone offerings, is proud to announce the launch of Navona, a new porcelain collection that captures travertine’s natural beauty and versatility. Perfectly blending classic design with modern sophistication, Navona offers a unique interpretation of this ancient material that has captivated architects and designers for centuries.

Drawing inspiration from travertine stone, a material revered throughout history and used in everything from the Colosseum in ancient Rome to the Whitehouse in Washington, D.C., Navona seamlessly integrates this timeless material into modern design. The collection presents a sophisticated style, offering diverse natural colors and textures, from calming cool tones to rich, warm shades that create an inviting atmosphere.

“The Navona collection offers a unique interpretation of Travertine stone that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with porcelain tile. Porcelain has many unique benefits for interior and exterior design projects, especially with high resistance to heat, scratches, and stains,” said Beth Cohn, President of the Showroom Division, Walker Zanger.

Navona offers four color options, each drawing inspiration from the rich history of travertine:

  • BiancoA light, airy shade that captures the finest variations of travertine. Its neutral tones create balance and lightness, perfect for expanding spaces, both minimalist and classic.
  • Avorio: Inspired by classic travertine, this versatile shade effortlessly blends classic charm with modern architecture, making it perfect for traditional and contemporary interiors.
  • Rosso: A rich, luxurious red inspired by ancient Persian travertine. Rosso brings an air of sophistication and opulence to interior and exterior spaces.
  • GrigioA decidedly sleek, contemporary grey that has become a favorite in modern architecture. Its sophisticated hues bring depth through intriguing textural effects, adding visual interest for walls and flooring.

The collection features two unique cutting techniques—Cross Cut and Vein Cut—to replicate the distinct textures of natural travertine. Cross-cutting technology reproduces the uniform, balanced patterns achieved when the stone is cut perpendicular to its layers, providing a balanced overall effect. Vein Cut, on the other hand, follows the natural layering of the stone, creating elongated, sinuous veins that bring a sense of movement and flow. The collection also includes unique mosaic patterns and vertical slabs in 60 x 120 format, available in multiple thicknesses.

Navona offers a fresh and practical alternative for designers who want the desirable look of travertine with the durability and flexibility of porcelain.
