The Costa Smeralda ceramics firm interprets contemporary design with the new Abitare la Terra collection and the Talk tables – a perfect marriage between ancient traditions and high-class production technologies
Casalgrande, 10 May 2017 – Cerasarda will be in New York from 21st to 24th May in the spotlight at ICFF, the trade fair that each year gives us a foretaste of successes and trends in contemporary design. At the Javits Center, Booth 25-27, Cerasarda will showcase its new Abitare la Terra project, created by designer and ceramist Maria Luisa Brighenti and inspired by the colours of the rich, fertile land of Sardinia, along with the Talk range of living tables and the proposals in the Cerasarda Lab catalogue.
Abitare la Terra is a major project to open the Cerasarda Design section and propel the great tradition of Cerasardaceramics onto the contemporary stage. The collection is characterized by an intense material quality, and combines the skills of craftsmanship with Gruppo Romani cutting-edge technologies and offers a wide selection of harmonic colour shades enhanced by Accento – a range of contrasting colours – and by high-end decorative textures.
Abitare la Terra ceramic panels are also the main players in the Talk range of tables, a new proposal to round off the Cerasarda Atelier catalogue dedicated to design objects. This is a new departure for Cerasarda as it continues to weave together craft tradition and contemporary taste, in keeping with concept of exclusive, top-quality items. Cerasarda Atelier demonstrates the company’s outstanding sensitivity for places packed with charm and forgotten architectures, with the Lighthouse Interior competition; this is aimed at designers all over the world to define a new collection of furnishing accessories and ceramic installations inspired by traditions of lighthouses and coastal towers. The idea behind the initiative promoted by Cerasarda is to create products for high-end seaside hotels and guest accommodation. To take part, consult the CODE portal no later than 31st May 2017.
The products on display at ICFF will also include the Sardinia, Pitrizza and Marezzati collections from the Cerasarda Lab catalogue, interpreting luxury and material aesthetics expressed in a wide variety of sizes, colours and decorations to reflect the unique quality of the Costa Smeralda. Cerasarda surfaces thus form part of a selection that North American architects and designers can explore in the four days of the fair, as luxury products to be used in high-end projects for architecture and interior design.
